Potty training take 82.

Ok so my last post said I was starting to potty train the twins, however that only lasted about 30 minutes after the post was up. But this Monday we are really going to do this. I think the girls have been ready for a while it has been me who wasn't ready. Well we converted their cribs to beds.

Got rid of the binkies.

Now is potty time. I am out of reasons not to I guess.

Potty time really???

Can they really be old enough for this? I hope they catch on. We started potty training this morning.
Here is Addie watching Elmo while sitting on the potty.

This photo is from a couple weeks ago. They sure do enjoy sitting on the potty.

The Zoo

Today we went to the zoo. My dear friend Kit went to help me with the girls and hang out with me as well. We picked a nice cool day to be there. However I think most of the animals thought it was nap time. The girls still enjoyed themselves.

This is the best I could get of the 3 of us.

And last but not least, my cute boy Dawson.

Things kids say,1

The other day Addison was calling to her sister "Kiki", she can't say Kenzie yet, and Kenzie was saying back to her "what now".This went on for quite a while. Pretty funny stuff.

Good bye beach house.

My parents sold their house at the coast in early February. But before the sale was final we had to make one last trip over there. Little did we know how much Mckenzie would love the ocean. This made it even harder to part with. We had fun and hope my folks buy another one(hint, hint).

Misc post

We had a special visit in February from Emily and Talia. We had a lot of fun with them while they were here. Just hanging out and we also went to the zoo. I don't really have many pictures but we did get a couple of the 3 girls. It is so fun that they have cousins close in age. I do wish we lived closer and could see them more often, but we will just cherish the times we do have.

For Valentines day we got together with LT and the boys Liam Auley and Finn. Once again just one picture from the evening but we got a heart shapped pizza and had punch and cookies, this is a Dawson family tradition you could say.

Some time in January we got the girls hair cut. Lets just say they were not the biggest fans of it, I did take a couple shots of them screaming.

Some time ago my mom was over visiting with us and she had her phone in her hand. Well the girls kept trying to take it from her so she hid it in her shirt. Well little did we know this would start a phase where the girls take things and stick them down their shirts. This one day I found all this lout in Mckenzies onesie. They still to this day will put things down their shirts but not as often thank goodness they were starting to stretch out all their clothes.

Introducing Dawson Samuel Reed!

This post is way over due but I wanted to share about the birth of Dawson and share some pictures as well.
I had a scheduled c section date of May 3rd. I had everything planned out for that day. Well Dawson decided he wanted to come early. He made his grand entrance on April 30th. I was starting to show signs of pre eclampsia again and the Dr saw no need to wait since I was 39 weeks. So we headed to the hospital. Well first we had to drop the girls off with my most amazing best friend/sister Carroll who so willingly took my 2 two year olds as well as her one 2 year old and her other kids too. With the drop off complete we then headed to the hospital. At this point I was getting really nervous for some reason knowing that the next time I see my girls we will be a family of 5, having a c section with a relatively new OBGYN( new to me that is), and the unknown of the future. Well we got checked in taken back got me all ready. Let me just say that the part i was the most nervous about was getting the spinal. When i had the twins my OB who i had been seeing since i was 18 was there and held me when they gave me the spinal and since my insurance no longer covered her i was with a different dr and i knew this dr wasnt going to give me the same treatment. Boy was i right. they are starting to give me the spinal and one nurse said to the nurse in charge of me hey you should go be with your patient she is getting her spinal. I don't think she had much c section experience she was like oh ok put a hand on my shoulder. I was thinking ya that really helps. at that point my blood pressure got to its highest 210/115 or something close to that. so the Drs are there and it seems like they are getting ready to start and I am like hey when does my husband get to come in and then I think they realized he wasn't there. So by the time Brian got there they had made the first cut. Brian is a champ he watched the whole thing. It was a much different experience this time as well since I wasn't an emergency the Drs were taking their time talking about fishing in Alaska and I am laying there wondering what is taking so long. When I had the twins it was super fast, well at least that is how I remember it being at least.
Ok on to the Baby. We had not agreed on a name the whole pregnancy so we had not settled on a name until he was born. I wanted Dawson and Brian wanted Jake. Well when brian went to see him as they were cleaning him off and taking vitals and such he said oh he looks like a Dawson. I said so is that his name he said i guess it is. What he had meant was that he looks like my side of the family, most like Auley and Finn. The name just fit him so well and we are still very happy with the decision.
Recovery seemed to take forever before they got me to a room.

We are beyond blessed to have Dawson in our family. He is such a good baby. He is loved by his sisters a little too much at times.

Welcome to the family little man. We love you.

Fresh start

I am so behind in blogging I am not going to try to catch up but try to just start from now.
It's a new year with lots to be thankful for. Expecting a little boy in May and having the girls turn 2 in a few months.
The girls got a kitchen and tons of food this Christmas they love it soo much.

A few years ago Brian and I participated in the warrior dash a mud run. These hats were given to us. The girls love to put them on for some reason. They sure are cute tho.

Lastly for now the girls and their cousins wanted to play in sookie's cage. Then sookie wanted in. Couldn't help taking a picture.
